The characteristics of silicon nitride combined silicon carbide bricks in aluminum smelting, copper, zinc and other industries are not corroded by aluminum liquid and their excellent thermal properties make them widely used in the aluminum industry. The use of silicon nitride combined with silicon carbide material to replace the traditional carbon material on the side wall of the electrolytic cell has achieved significant benefits. An important use of silicon nitride combined silicon carbide refractories in steelmaking and rolling industries is as a separating ring for horizontal continuous casting. In the horizontal continuous casting, the separation ring divides the molten steel flow into the molten steel area and the molten steel solidification area, which plays the role of separating the liquid-solid interface of the steel, and plays a role in maintaining a stable molten steel solidification starting point and the quality of the cast slab.
