Low Cement Refractory Castable Including High Alumina Mullite Corundum Castable

Refractory castables are used to replace refractory bricks in monolithic linings in all types of furnaces and kilns. They can be classified as follows: standard, medium cement content, low cement, ultra low cement, insulating castables, applied either by casting or by gunning.

These castables can be made from different materials such as heavy chamottes, andalusites, bauxites, mullites, corundum, tabular alumina, silicon carbide, or light weight chamottes, perlite and vermiculite for insulation purposes.
