Brief introduction of magnesia-aluminum spinel brick:

Magnesium-alumina spinel bricks are a kind of basic refractory bricks, mainly including unburned and fired block bricks. Spinel can also be synthesized to make amorphous refractory materials to form integral structures and gunning linings. The production process of spinel refractory bricks is basically the same as that of ordinary magnesia bricks. However, the various levels of granular material in the batching component are composed of sintered synthetic spinel or electro-fused synthetic spinel, or a mixture of the two. The fine powder can be light-fired spinel synthesized at 1000 ° C ~ 1400 ° C, or a mixture of MgO and Al2O3. Properties of magnesia-aluminum spinel bricks The magnesia-aluminum spinel bricks fired at high temperature at 1750 ℃ ​​have a very low porosity (less than 9%) and a bulk density of 3.22-3.23g/cm 3. When the porosity is 12~17%, the bulk density is 2.9~3.1g/cm3.

 

The refractory brick has a high direct bonding rate between the high melting point grains, so the strength at room temperature and high temperature is very high, the softening temperature under load is 1700~1750 °C, and the creep resistance is also very strong. This kind of refractory brick has strong resistance to the penetration of silicate and iron-containing slag, and is not easy to form a thick metamorphic layer, especially when the pore volume of 8-25 μm in the brick is very small. At the same time, it has excellent resistance to direct erosion by slag. In short, the slag resistance is far superior to magnesia alumina bricks.

Magnesium-alumina spinel bricks are used in the lining of steel nickel furnaces and aluminum smelting furnaces in non-ferrous metal smelting furnaces, electric furnace covers, ladle linings, linings of refining vacuum treatment devices outside steel furnaces, and high temperature zones of cement calcining kilns. Refractory products for linings, regenerators of steel-making open-hearth furnaces and lattice bricks of glass melting furnaces
