3mm High-End IXPE Foam Acoustic Underlay With Golden Film For Floating Flooring

Introduction:

IXPE makes great flooring underlayment due to its closed-cell structure and controllable expansion ratio. The lifespan of IXPE is also significantly longer than traditional PE foam.

As a material, IXPE is good for acoustical insulation, thermal insulation, mold & mildew resistance, and is flame-retardant. It also has excellent waterproof performance since the water absorption rate of the product is almost zero.

How to Install

Step 1: Be sure the subfloor is clean, smooth, free of dust and debris, and dry
Step 2: Roll QuietWalk Underlayment over the subfloor with the vapor barrier film (imprinted side) facing up
Step 3:The perimeter edges of QuietWalk underlayment need to be 1/2″ to 3/4″ away from the wall
Step 4: Seams need to be butted together flush, do not overlap the pad
Step 5:Tape the seams with duct tape, unless the roll is provided with a factory attached lip and tape system
Step 6:Install laminate flooring according to the manufacturer’s installation instructions
