Brief Introduction

LE-8516 is a modified saturated cyclic aliphatic epoxy resin system, paired with LH-8516, a modified weather-resistant anhydride hardener. This system serves as a cost-effective alternative to Huntsman epoxy resin while maintaining high quality.

Applications

Designed for outdoor use, this epoxy resin is suitable for medium and high voltage electrical insulators, including insulators, transformers, and various insulation components.

Processing Methods

The material can be processed using a conventional gravity casting method under vacuum or through an Automatic Pressure Gelation (APG) process. The production methods can be customized to fit the client’s existing manufacturing practices.

Properties

This two-component system is a saturated cyclic epoxy resin without pre-mixed fillers, remaining liquid at room temperature. It offers excellent UV resistance, outstanding thermal shock resistance, superior environmental durability, and exceptional mechanical and dielectric properties.
