Product Description
Both of these materials are representative of martensitic (410) and ferritic (430) stainless steels, belonging to the nickel saving type of stainless steel. 410 stainless steel contains about 11.5% chromium, making it rust resistant, and its carbon content allows it to significantly improve strength and hardness through heat treatment (quenching and tempering). 430 stainless steel contains higher levels of chromium (about 16-18%), but does not contain nickel, resulting in lower costs. Its corrosion resistance is better than 410, but it cannot be strengthened by heat treatment.
