Product Description
DURAFIDE® PPS was launched by Polyplastics as Japan's first production compound, based on the supply of a PPS polymer with linear molecular structure from Kureha Corporation.
It maintains superior mechanical strength, heat resistance, chemical resistance and fireproof properties. With excellent toughness compared to traditional PPS due to superior ability to withstand stretching and impacts, its applications range from peripheral automotive engine parts and electrical components in hybrid and electric vehicles to smartphones and water mixing valves.

Linear PPS vs Cross-linked PPS
Linear PPS (DURAFIDE® PPS) offers these advantages compared with cross-linked PPS:
- Greater elongation and impact strength, producing superior toughness

- Excellent thermal stability for easier molding and processing
- High weld strength and performance in secondary processes
