The fine powder series is designed for paste-extrusion. This tetrafluoroethylene resin has excellent resistance properties toward heat and chemicals, along with weatherability, high-frequency electrical characteristics, nonadherence and slipperiness.
- Heat resistance at continuous operating temperature of 260℃ and inertness for almost all chemicals
- Excellent for high-frequency electric wires due to low dielectric constant and dielectric loss tangent
- Extremely low coefficient of friction provides superior slipperiness
- Low surface energy ensures excellent water and oil repellency and nonadherence properties
- Excellent flame retardancy (limit oxygen index 95%)
- Can be mixed with petroleum solvents for continuous molding by paste extrusion
PTFE F-Series is used for wire coating, tubing, and rolling and drawing with its low dielectric constant, high heat resistance, inert chemical and flame-retardant properties:
- Sintered tape
- Corrosion resistant lining hose
- Thick wire cables
- Coaxial cable
- Release sheet
- Fine porous membranes
Daikin PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) molding powders are excellent, fine cut resins suited for demanding chemical, mechanical, electrical and non-stick surface applications. These fully fluorinated PTFE resins offer the best thermal, electrical, and chemical properties of all fluoropolymers with a continuous service rating of 500°F (260°C).
Daikin PTFE molding powders can be used continuously at temperatures up to 260°C (500°F) and for short periods at higher temperatures, while maintaining excellent low temperature strength. They are completely inert to attack by all chemicals except high-temperature, high-pressure elemental fluorine gas, molten alkaline metals and chlorine trifluoride.
The non-polar molecular structure makes Daikin PTFE molding powders ideal for high-frequency insulating material, with uniformly low dielectric constant and dissipation factor over a wide frequency range. They possess the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid material under ordinary conditions, along with excellent non-stick properties.
