The O-Ring is one of the most basic and functional seals ever made and is the backbone to all the hydraulic and sealing applications in the world. An O-Ring is a solid-rubber seal shaped like a dough nut or torus. When compressed between mating surfaces, an O-Ring blocks the passage of liquids or gases. O-Rings are available in a wide range of standard and non-standard sizes that are suitable for nearly all sealing applications.

O - ring is mainly used for static seal and reciprocating motion seal. For rotary motion seal, limited to low speed rotary seal device. O-type sealing ring is generally installed in the outer circle or the inner circle on the rectangular section of the groove to seal.

O ring in oil, acid and alkali, wear, chemical erosion and other environments still play a good sealing, shock absorption role. Therefore, O-ring is the most widely used seal in hydraulic and pneumatic transmission system.
