Optical Diffusers, Ground Glass Diffusers

Overview:
Optical Diffuser (Ground Glass Diffuser) with one face polished and the other ground provide a solution for a variety of applications that require a diffuse Gaussian-like distribution. Typical applications include use in screens, illuminator diffusion, and targets.
Star Optic offers 120, 220, 600 and 800 grit polishes. Each polish is available in round and square. The various grits provide a range from fine to coarse scattering. A finer grit (e.g. 800) has a small diffusion pattern, while a coarser grit (e.g. 120) will have a larger diffuser pattern.
When positioning the diffusers, the grit-polished side should face away from the source.
