1) The stamping deformation resistance of stainless steel is large, and the elastic rebound is high. In production, refurbishment, correction procedures and necessary heat treatments are often added.

2) Most stainless steel materials have high strength and toughness, and are easy to stick to the die when stamping. Therefore, attention should be paid to maintaining the surface finish of the working parts of the concave and convex die and the sharpness of the cutting edge when punching. When stamping, the die gap should be small. When bending and stretching, the die gap and die fillet should be appropriately increased. When stamping, you can use lubricating oil with higher viscosity.

3) The cold work hardening of stainless steel stamping parts is serious, and it is easy to produce wrinkles when stretched. Therefore, after each drawing, an intermediate anneal is usually required. Stress-relief annealing should be performed immediately after drawing to prevent stamping from cracking. Heated stretching can also be used for stainless steel stampings to reduce the number of stretches.

4) In the soft state, stainless steel has better stamping properties. Softening heat treatment method of stainless steel: annealing 1Cr13, 2Cr13, 3Cr13, 4Cr13 materials, and quenching 1Cr18Ni9 and 1Cr18Ni9Ti materials.
