Product Description
Product Overview

The ST505 Stationary Ultrasonic Flowmeter integrates seamlessly into your management system to provide reliable remote measurement services. It utilizes advanced digital signal processing technology to deliver accurate and dependable flow measurement across a wide range of liquids and pipe sizes. Combined with high-performance transducers and industrial-grade materials, the ST505 is engineered for long-term, maintenance-free operation.

Clear menu display selections make the instrument convenient to operate. Clamp-on transducers enhance flexibility across diverse applications. Based on Transit-Time technology, the ST505 achieves high measurement accuracy by clamping onto the outside of the pipe without ever contacting the fluid — eliminating risks of liquid pollution, pressure reduction, leakage, or similar issues.

Key Benefits
  • Measures the actual flow and total consumption of various liquids.
  • No loss of process control, optimization of assets and efficiency, and no downtime or expense from calibration.
  • Adaptive signal processing algorithms optimize performance, ensuring accurate measurements even in challenging flow conditions.
  • Clear display interface and LCD display with alarm function for easy operation and debugging.
  • Utilizes transit-time ultrasonic technology to realize bidirectional flow measurement by precisely measuring the time it takes for ultrasonic signals to travel upstream and downstream.
  • Leverages data logging capabilities to analyze historical flow patterns for system optimization.
  • Built-in keypad and simple menu system for fast and easy programming of pipe diameter, pipe material, liquid type, and measurement units.

Installation Methods
V Method

The "V" method is considered the standard method. It usually gives a more accurate reading and is used on pipe diameters ranging from approximately 25 mm to 400 mm (1" ~ 16"). It is convenient to use but still requires proper installation of the transducer, contact on the pipe at the pipe's centerline, and equal spacing on either side of the centerline.

Z Method

The signal transmitted in a "Z" method installation has less attenuation than a signal transmitted with the "V" method. This is because the "Z" method utilizes a directly transmitted (rather than reflected) signal that transverses the liquid only once. The "Z" method is able to measure on pipe diameters ranging from 100 mm to 3000 mm (4" ~ 120").

N Method

With the "N" method, the sound waves transverse the fluid twice and bounce three times off the pipe walls. It is suitable for small pipe diameter measurement. Measurement accuracy can be improved by extending the transit distance with the "N" method (uncommonly used).

W Method

As with the "N" method, measurement accuracy can also be improved by extending the transit distance with the "W" method. The sound wave transverses the fluid four times and bounces four times off the pipe walls. It is suitable for very small pipes (diameter less than 50 mm / 2").
