Stainless Steel Twilled Weave Wire Mesh Screen for Filtration

Twilled Weave is another basic weaving type. In this type, each warp wire and each weft wire passes over and under the two adjacent wires — both in the warp and weft directions. This weaving allows a heavier wire diameter to be used than would be possible in a plain weave wire mesh with the same mesh count.

Take the 60mesh for example, normally this mesh should be woven with s wire of 0.10mm to 0.18mm by plain weave type. If by Twilled Weave, the wire diameter could be much heavier to 0.25mm. This twilled weaving is much more used for those fine and super fine wire cloth, such as 400mesh with a wire of 0.03mm.

As a result of this woven path, the wire is deformed less during weaving, which not only permits a larger diameter wire to be used but also a stronger structure, compared with the plain weave wire mesh.

Twilled Weaving, is typically used for chemical and pharmaceutical filtration applications that required managing heavier loads.

Twilled Weave Wire Mesh can be made from all metal materials, not only stainless steel but other alloys that can be drawn into wires, such as carbon steel, brass, copper, Nickel-chromium alloys, etc.
