1. Product Description
The Copper Nickel Equal Tee is a fitting used for equal-diameter perpendicular branch connections in piping systems, with all three ports having identical inside diameters. Manufactured from copper-nickel alloy (Cu-Ni 90/10 or 70/30) by integral forging or seamless tube hydroforming. Conforming to ASTM B466, ASME B16.9, and EN 10253-2, it offers excellent resistance to seawater corrosion, cavitation, and biofouling, widely used in shipbuilding, offshore engineering, power generation, and chemical industries.

3.Installation & Precautions

Receiving inspection:Check for dents or cracks on surface; verify material stamping and dimensions.

Cleaning requirements:Remove oil, moisture, and dust from bevel and adjacent areas using or alcohol before welding.

Welding process:Recommended GTAW + SMAW combination. Use ERCuNi wire and ECuNi electrodes. Interpass temperature ≤150℃.

Post-weld inspection:100% visual inspection of welds; PT or RT for critical areas per design.

Pipe supports:Place rubber or plastic pads between supports and fittings to avoid direct metal contact.

Pressure test:Hydrotest pressure = 1.5× design pressure; test medium chloride content ≤50 ppm.

Prohibitions:

Do not directly contact active metals such as zinc or aluminum.

Do not use for strong oxidizing acids or ammonia water.

Avoid long-term stagnant seawater in pipes; drain and flush with fresh water when out of service.
