1. Product Description
Copper Nickel Plate is a copper‑nickel‑iron‑manganese alloy plate offering superior resistance to high‑velocity seawater and brackish water corrosion. The two primary grades are CuNi90/10 (UNS C70600) and CuNi70/30 (UNS C71500). The alloy’s protective surface film forms rapidly and remains stable even under turbulent flow conditions. Copper nickel plates are available in hot rolled (HR) and cold rolled (CR) conditions, with various heat treatments (soft, half‑hard, hard). Typical surface finishes include mill finish, pickled, polished, and chequered (raised pattern) for anti‑slip flooring. These plates are widely used in components exposed to seawater, brine, and organic acids.
 

2. Product Applications

  • Shallow water shipbuilding: Bilge keel plates, sea chest covers, rudder bearing housings.

  • Coastal infrastructure: Tidal turbine blades, lock gate facings, water intake screens.

  • Oil refineries and petrochemicals: Air cooler tube plates, sour water stripper linings.

  • Waste heat recovery: Economizer plates in exhaust gas boilers on marine vessels.

  • General corrosion resistant flooring: Diamond chequered plates for walkways, ramps, and stair treads on offshore platforms.
