1.Product Basic Introduction

Hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR) is a highly saturated special elastomer processed by special hydrogenation. It is obtained by hydrogenating nitrile butadiene rubber. It has good flexibility and plasticity and can be made into various products such as O-rings, gaskets, and hoses to meet the needs of different application scenarios.

Material Characteristics 

Mechanical Properties HNBR has high strength, high tear resistance, and excellent abrasion resistance. Its tensile strength is usually between 10MPa - 30MPa, and the elongation at break can reach 200% - 800%. It can withstand large external forces and repeated deformations, maintaining stable performance during long - term use and is not prone to problems such as cracking and wear.

Environmental Resistance 

Oil Resistance: It has extremely excellent oil resistance and shows good resistance to fuel oil, lubricating oil, aromatic solvents, etc.

Chemical Corrosion Resistance: It has strong chemical corrosion resistance and can withstand various chemicals such as freon, acids, and alkalis.

Ozone Resistance: It has excellent ozone resistance and can be used in an ozone environment for a long time with little change in performance.

Weather Resistance: It has good weather resistance, can resist weathering and aging in outdoor environments, and has a long service life in harsh environments.

Physical Characteristics

It has a uniform texture and a smooth surface, with good elasticity and flexibility. Its elastic modulus is between 1MPa - 10MPa. It can closely adhere to the sealing surface, ensuring a good sealing effect. Moreover, it has good appearance quality, meeting the requirements of some application scenarios with high appearance requirements.

Thermal Performance

It has a wide operating temperature range. Its high - temperature resistance is 130℃ - 180℃, and its low - temperature resistance is - 55℃ - - 38℃. It can maintain stable performance within a wide temperature range, meeting the needs of various working conditions, such as the high - temperature environment of the automotive engine compartment and the low - temperature environment in cold regions.
