The HD3SS3212-Q1 is a high-speed, bidirectional passive switch in a multiplexer or demultiplexer configuration. It is intended for USB Type-C™ applications supporting USB 3.2 Gen 1 and Gen 2 data rates. The SEL control pin switches between two differential channels (Port B to Port A or Port C to Port A). The HD3SS3212-Q1 is a general-purpose analog differential passive switch. The device is suitable for any high-speed interface application requiring differential signals with a 0V to 2V common-mode voltage range and a differential amplitude of up to 1800mVpp. The adaptive tracking function ensures that the channels remain constant over the entire common-mode voltage range. The excellent dynamic characteristics of the device allow high-speed switching with minimal degradation of the signal eye diagram and no significant increase in jitter. It consumes less than 1.65mW of power in operation. The OEn pin has a shutdown mode, which enables power consumption of less than 0.02μW.
