Refrigerated compressed air dryers play the important role of removing condensation from the air compressor systems. Without a dryer, moisture can accumulate in a compressor. With this moisture comes dirt and other particulate matter, which can cause oxidation and other types of premature wear on delicate compressor components. Refrigerated dryer eliminates the problem by cooling moisture in the air to approximately 3℃, where it condenses and can be removed from the compressor system by way of an automatic drain.
Function of Refrigerated Air Dryer
• Through a refrigerant heat exchanger (evaporator), the temperature of the compressed air drops to 2°C, the dew-point temperature and moisture or water drops in the compressed air condenses.
• Then through a seperator, the air and drips seperator. The drips are drained from the system by an automatic drainage. The whole process of drying finishes.
• Commonly, the moisture content of the drying compressed air is about 0.59 g/m³, and the moisture removal rate can be up to 93%.The users can select the suitable model or add filters according to the necessity.
