ASME A53 API 5L ERW Spiral Weld Seamless Galvanized Stainless Black Round Square Carbon Steel Tube Pipe
300 series grade stainless steel is manufactured into a range of products including steel tubes, steel pipes and various other products. Both 304 and 316 steel tubes are nickel-based alloys that are easy to maintain, resist corrosion and maintain strength and durability at high temperatures. Determining which grade of steel is best for your application depends on the intended application as well as environmental factors such as temperature or exposure to chloride.
Type 304 stainless steel is corrosion resistant and easy to sanitize, making it the most common type of stainless steel used for tubing and other steel parts. 304 stainless steel tubes are frequently used in building and decorating applications.
Type 316 stainless steel is similar to 304 stainless in that it is also corrosion resistant and easy to clean. 316 stainless does, however, have a slight advantage because but is more resistant to corrosion caused by chloride, chemicals and solvents. This additional factor makes 316 stainless steel a preferred solution for applications where there is constant exposure to chemicals or for outdoor applications where there is exposure to salt. Industries that are known to use 316 stainless steel include industrial, surgical and marine.
