Contains molybdenum and low carbon content for superior pitting corrosion resistance in marine and chemical environments. Available variations include 316N (high strength) and 316F (high sulfur for improved machinability).
Low carbon version of 304 steel with excellent grain boundary corrosion resistance after welding or stress relief, maintaining corrosion resistance without heat treatment.
Excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature strength and mechanical properties. Suitable for hot processing operations with no heat treatment hardening. Operating temperature range: -196°C to 700°C.
