G550 0.43x1200 Aluminium Zinc Coil Galvalume Steel Coil Aluzinc Material

Galvalume Steel Sheet is carbon steel sheet coated with aluminum-zinc alloy by a continuous

hot-dip process. The nominal coating composition is 55% aluminum and 45% zinc. A small but

important addition of silicon is included in the coating alloy. It is added not to enhance the corr

-osion performance, but to provide good coating adhesion to the steel substrate when the product

is roll-formed, drawn, or bent during fabrication.

Common Specifications

Thickness: Base steel: 0.2–3.0 mm;

Coating: 10–30μm per side (e.g., AZ150 = 150 g/m² total coating weight).

Width: 600–1500 mm (customizable).

Surface Finish: Smooth (standard), matte, or embossed (e.g., spangled for anti-slip).

Key Features

♦ Corrosion Resistance

2–6 times more resistant than regular galvanized steel (GI), especially in harsh environments

(e.g., coastal, industrial areas). Aluminum forms a protective oxide layer (Al₂O₃), while zinc

provides sacrificial protection.

♦ Heat Resistance

Withstands temperatures up to 300°C long-term (short-term exposure to 600°C), ideal for

chimneys, oven parts, etc.

♦ Reflectivity

High solar reflectance (~75%), suitable for roofing and solar equipment.

♦ Formability

Excellent for stamping and bending, but coating abrasion may occur during severe processing.
