Mobile Fire Department Pump / Extinguishing Water Feed Pump / Flood Protection

The volunteer fire department of a small town in the Tyrolean region of Austria had resistant problems with flooding. The fire department looked for a powerful mobile pump for flood protection. The pump is supposed to be used as an extinguishing water feed pump as well.

The fire department performed tests with a Accuvon rotary lobe pump. The Accuvon pump has a compact design and can be transported by a tractor using the three-point suspension. The pump is driven by the PTO shaft of the tractor. An independent drive for the pump is not necessary due to this construction. In this way, the mobile pump becomes even more compact and can also be used in the mountain areas which are difficult to reach.

The volunteer fire department was so impressed by the test of the Accuvon pump that they retained the demo pump straight away. In addition to the compact dimensions, the user friendliness and the high flow rate, the customer was particularly impressed by the virtually constant flow rate of the rotary lobe pump even with high pressures.
