An operator of a biogas plant was looking for a reliable pump for pumping very abrasive biogas
substrate from a fermenter into a secondary fermenter. The rotary lobe pump which had been
used before had a very high wearing of rotors.
It was very important for the operator of the biogas plant to use a pump in his plant, which has
high durability, works low-wear and is easy to maintain in case of maintenance. Because of the
design of the pipe connection system, the pump had to manage an underpressure of -0.4 bar.
The customer chose a Accuvon rotary lobe pump AF 125. The speed of the AF 125 is controlled
via a frequency converter, depending on the underpressure. The underpressure as well as the
pumping pressure will be measured with electronic manometers.
The customer is very satisfied with the Accuvon AF 125.

operating principle
