Product Description:

MEILONG offers the encapsulation of control lines to provide increased durability, and chemical and corrosion resistance for specialized projects. We offer various encapsulation types, such as High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Santoprene, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Haylar and Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF).

Encapsulation is an extruded plastic which is used to protect the metal tubes from damage during manufacture. It also provides additional abrasion-resistance. The encapsulation of cable protectors to enhance the holding force and connection of the producation tubing is also required.

Different configurations are available, including single-pass and dual-pass encapsulation for extra protection. Flatpacks are more often chosen when multiple lines are joined at the same depth in a well. Examples of uses can include intelligent well systems, deep-set chemical injection lines with downhole gauge cable and safety valve lines with shallow set chemical injection lines. Bumper bars can also be encapsulated into the flatpack to increase crush-resistance.

The control lines are manufactured in accordance with applicable ASTM standards required for each material. The tubes are flushed, filled, and filtered to the appropriate NAS/SAE standards according to client requirements.

Features:

Maximizing protection of downhole line is the primary goal. An improved clamping profile improved during installation provides greater crush resistance, preventing the control line from abrasion and pinching. This also eliminates long term stress corrosion failure of the control line. Furthermore, one or multiple encapsulations can also be used for ease of running, as well as additional protection.
