Material Overview
ASTM SAE AISI 310H stainless steel plate is an austenitic stainless steel engineered for high-temperature applications up to 2,100°F in continuous service. With 25% chromium and 20% nickel content, it delivers exceptional oxidation and corrosion resistance. The high carbon version (310H) provides enhanced strength for demanding industrial environments.
Chemical Composition
310H contains 0.04-0.1% carbon, 24-26% chromium, 19-22% nickel, 2.0% manganese, 0.045% phosphorous, 0.30% sulfur, and 0.75% silicon.
Mechanical Properties
Minimum tensile strength: 75 ksi, minimum yield strength: 30 ksi, elongation: 40%, Brinell hardness: 217, Rockwell B hardness: 95.
Physical Properties
Density: 0.285 lb/in³, specific heat: 0.12 BTU/lb (32-212°F), electrical resistivity: 30.7 Microhm-in at 68°F, modulus of elasticity: 28.5×10⁶ psi, melting range: 2,470-2,555°F, thermal conductivity: 8.0 BTU/hr/ft²/ft/°F.
