Planetary Ball Mill for Laboratory Nano Grinding with Grinding/Polishing/Dispersing Functions and Video Technical Support Customization Available
Laboratory Planetary Ball Mill Machine

The Planetary Ball Mill is a vertical-type milling machine designed for advanced material mixing, ultra-fine grinding, sample preparation, innovative product development, and small-scale production. Compact in structure yet highly efficient, it operates with low noise and offers multiple functions, making it an excellent choice for research institutes, universities, and industrial laboratories.

The machine can simultaneously process four samples per experiment and can obtain powder samples under vacuum conditions when equipped with a vacuum ball mill tank. Its planetary motion mechanism ensures thorough grinding and mixing of samples through high-speed movement.

Choice of Grinding Jars & Grinding Balls

In order to prevent excessive abrasion, the hardness of the grinding jars used and of the grinding balls must be higher than that of the material used. Normally, grinding jars and grinding balls of the same material should be chosen. However, the size of grinding jars and grinding balls should be determined experimentally if necessary.

Available materials include: Stainless steel balls, zirconia balls, alumina balls, PU balls, steel carbon balls, tungsten balls, agate balls, hard metal balls, silicon nitride balls, high wear resistant steel ball, manganese steel balls, cemented carbide, crystal glass and other special metal materials.

Product Construction & Working Principle
Ball Mill Internal Structure
Inner Structure

KINGDA planetary ball mills feature dust-resistant cast iron construction with a one-piece casting molding process for the main disk, significantly extending equipment lifespan compared to conventional splicing methods.

Ball Mill Construction Detail
Working Principle

The planetary ball mill operates similarly to planetary motion in the solar system. Four or two ball mills positioned eccentrically on a turntable perform simultaneous rotation and revolution (1:2 ratio). This motion generates strong Coriolis forces, creating intense impact and friction that efficiently grind samples to powder as fine as 0.1μm.

Additional FAQs
Q: What's your smallest lab model?

A: Our 0.2L planetary ball mill (Model XQM-0.4A) measures 42*30*26cm and weighs 20kg, with larger models available up to 100L capacity.

Q: What maintenance does the equipment require?

A: We use specialized wear-resistant gears for reduced noise without oil seal leakage risks. Models above XQM-20 use oil seals with proper maintenance protocols.

Q: What are your payment terms?

A: 30% deposit via T/T with 70% balance against B/L copy, or 100% L/C at sight. We provide product photos and B/L copies before final payment.
