Description of Encoder
The rotary incremental encoder outputs the pulse when rotating, and knows its position through the counting device. When the encoder is not moving or the power is off, it remembers the position by relying on the internal memory of the counting device.

Incremental encoder is mainly used to measure speed, acceleration, rotation direction, angle and so on.
