Heavy Duty Dredge Rubber Discharge Hose – abrasion resistant, floating non-floating, for sand slurry gravel mining
Heavy Duty Dredge Rubber Discharge Hose – abrasion resistant, floating non-floating, for sand slurry gravel mining
The Dredge Rubber Discharge Hose is a heavy-duty industrial hose specifically engineered for high-volume transfer of abrasive slurries, sand, gravel, crushed stone, and tailings in dredging operations. Manufactured with a high-tensile steel wire helix and a premium natural rubber compound, this hose delivers exceptional resistance to impact, cutting, abrasion, and external pressure.
Unlike standard water hoses, our dredge discharge hose is built to withstand the most punishing conditions: continuous flexing, sub-zero or tropical temperatures, UV exposure, saltwater corrosion, and high-velocity flow with sharp solid particles. Available in both floating (with closed-cell foam buoyancy layer) and non-floating designs, it meets the demands of cutter suction dredgers, trailing suction hopper dredgers, and land-based hydraulic fill systems.
The Dredge Rubber Discharge Hose serves as the critical pipeline between the dredge pump and the discharge point. Its primary function is to transport a high-velocity mixture of water and solid materials (slurry) over long distances — often up to several kilometers — while resisting:
- Internal abrasion from sharp sand, rocks, and metal tailings.
- External crushing from deck rollers, anchors, or subsea rocks.
- Negative pressure collapse when pumps start/stop.
- Tension and torsion caused by wave action or dredge movement.
By minimizing flow resistance and preventing leaks, this hose maintains pump efficiency, reduces energy consumption, and prevents environmental spills. The floating variant adds automatic buoyancy, eliminating the need for pontoons or raft systems.
