Abrasive nylon brush wire is manufactured using nylon 612 as the base material, combined with 20-40% silicon carbide or alumina wire drawing processed bristles. This construction provides high strength, rigidity, fatigue resistance, chemical resistance, and high melting point characteristics.

For applications requiring high material removal rates, silicon carbide is typically used. For less aggressive applications or when working with non-ferrous materials (soft metals, wood, plastic, aluminum), we recommend aluminum oxide or aluminum silicate fillers.
