The GE IS200VTURH1BAB is a Turbine Specific Primary Trip Board in the Mark VI Speedtronic system, critical for gas, steam, and wind turbine safety. It manages core functions including turbine speed measurement via 4 pulse devices for overspeed protection, automatic generator synchronization, and main breaker control.
This board monitors shaft voltage/current and, in gas turbines, 8 Geiger Mueller flame detectors (335V DC, 0.5mA) linked to TRPG. It controls 3 overspeed trip relays on TRPG, triggering emergency solenoids, and supports both simplex (3 relays) and TMR (9 relays) configurations.
The unit integrates 115V rms voltage sensors (1,500V isolated) with 1,000ft wiring capability, enabling Off/Manual/Auto synchronization modes. Front-panel LEDs (Run/Fail/Status) provide diagnostic assistance. Designed for installation in VME racks, it ensures reliable turbine protection and control through Speedtronic technology.
