Shaded Pole Fan Motor Principle

The set-pole fan motor is a common motor, and its structure has one more set-pole winding than an ordinary motor. The pole winding is located in the pole housing of the motor and maintains a certain gap with the stator core of the motor.

Factors Affecting The Speed of Shaded Pole Motors

1.  Voltage
Voltage is one of the important factors affecting the speed of a shielded pole motor. If the voltage is too low, the motor speed will decrease. If the voltage is too high, the speed of the motor will also be affected, and it may even damage the motor. Therefore, when using a covered pole motor, attention should be paid to voltage stability.

2.  Load
Another important factor affecting the speed of the covered pole motor is the load. If the load is too large, the motor speed will decrease. This is because the motor must consume more energy to drive the load, thereby reducing the available energy of the motor to maintain its normal speed.

Structure of Shaded Pole Motors

Shaded pole motors are mainly composed of rotor components, stator components, wire package components, bracket components and connecting fasteners. The rotor assembly is mainly composed of a cast aluminum rotor, a shaft, a thrust washer to prevent the rotor from moving forward and backward, and a gasket to adjust the amount of movement; the stator assembly is mainly composed of a short-circuit ring and the main stator core; the wire package assembly is mainly composed of a coil, a frame, and a lead. It is composed of wiring or thermal protector and related insulating wrapping materials; the bracket assembly is divided into front bracket assembly and rear bracket assembly according to the different installation positions of the shaft extension end and non-shaft extension end.
