Operating Principles
During pressure buildup events, the choke manifold's valves (manual, hydraulic, or positive chokes) regulate fluid release to control casing pressure. High-pressure scenarios allow direct blowout through gate valves for immediate pressure relief.
Installation & Operation Guidelines
- All components must match BOP stack working pressure ratings
- Install in accessible locations with pre-installation pressure testing at rated working pressure
- Maintain level, straight line pipe runs using 120-degree steel bent pipes for turns
- Ensure adequate line pipe bore diameter for optimal flow
- Pressure gauges must be installed and calibrated
- Operational in low-temperature winter conditions
