Description of UL FM200 Fire Suppression System
One of the most environmentally friendly systems is the HFC227EA Clean Agent Suppression System. By physically cooling the fire by eliminating the heat energy that interrupts the combustion cycle, it prevents the fire from being able to sustain itself. With the 227 system, UL certified
HFC227ea disinfectant gas provides safe fire protection for people, property and life stock. The most challenging aspect of the use of environmentally friendly suppression agents is that they can affect the ozone layer, but the HFC227EA system is completely echo friendly and is not a depleting ozone suppression agent, although sometimes the fumes produced by fighting fires can affect the ozone layer.
