Steel sheet is mostly composed of iron. Depending on different amounts of carbon content, there are low-carbon steel sheets(also called mild steel sheets or plain carbon steel sheets), medium-carbon steel sheets, and higher carbon steel sheets.As far as the plate making process is concerned, low carbon steel plate can be divided into cold rolling and hot rolling. Hot rolling alone can produce low carbon steel plates of about 1.2mm and stainless steel plates of about 2mm, while thinner plates are produced by cold rolling, annealing and quenching and tempering rolling.

Compared with ordinary carbon steel, it has better quality, strict chemical composition and three requirements to ensure the mechanical property index. Phosphorus, sulfur and other high-quality carbon structural steels with lower frame content and carbon bonded steels can be divided into two groups according to the manganese content: normal manganese content (0.25% - 0.80%) and high manganese content (0.70% - 1.20%). The latter has better mechanical properties and processing properties. The types of carbon bonded steel can be divided into three categories according to the carbon content: low carbon steel, medium carbon steel and high carbon steel.
