ASTM A815-WP UNS S31803 45 Degree BW Elbow is a duplex stainless steel butt welding elbow designed for high-performance piping systems. These elbows are engineered to change fluid direction by 45 degrees while maintaining optimal flow characteristics.
Long radius elbows feature a curvature radius ≥ 1.5 times the pipe diameter, making them ideal for high-pressure and high-flow rate pipelines. They produce less friction and lower pressure drop compared to 90° elbows.
Short radius elbows have a curvature radius equal to the pipe diameter, suitable for low-pressure applications. They are compatible with copper, plastic, steel, cast iron, lead, stainless steel, and rubber fixtures.
