ASTM A815 UNS S31803 Duplex Stainless Steel Stub Ends 1/2" to 36" Size Range with ASME B16.9 Dimensions

Stub ends (lap joint fittings) are designed to replace welded flanges when a rotating backup flange is required. Available in standard and custom ANSI dimensions for connecting pipes of different diameters.

Available in three configurations: Type A, B, and C. Type A and B are similar to forged fittings, while Type C offers customized sizing options.

• Type A: For standard lap joint flanges with lap thickness ≥ pipe wall thickness. Features machined serrated face and outer corner radius to accommodate lap joint flange.
• Type B: For standard slip-on flanges used as lap flanges. Small outer corner radius accommodates slip-on backup flange with machined serrated face.
• Type C: Versatile design for both lap joint and slip-on flanges. Flared with rounded edge, lap thickness at 75% of pipe wall, smooth lap joint surface.

ASTM A815 covers wrought ferritic, ferritic/austenitic, and martensitic stainless steel piping fittings. Class WP fittings include:

• WP-S: Seamless products
• WP-W: Welded products
• WP-WX: Radiographed welds
• WP-WU: Ultrasonically tested welds

Available in long pattern (ANSI) and short pattern (MSS) lengths. Sch5s and 10s typically supplied in short lengths, with long lengths available on special order.
