ASTM A403 stainless steel butt welding stub ends are precision fittings designed to replace welded flanges when rotating backup flange support is required. These components are available in both standard and custom ANSI dimensions for connecting pipes of varying diameters.

Designed for standard lap joint flanges with lap thickness equal to or greater than nominal pipe wall thickness. Features outer corner radius to accommodate lap joint flange and square inside corner. Lap typically includes machined serrated face.
Compatible with standard slip-on flanges used as lap flanges. Lap thickness matches or exceeds nominal pipe wall thickness. Outer corner radius accommodates slip-on flange as backup. Inner corner is square with machined serrated face.
Versatile design suitable for both lap joint and slip-on flanges. Features flared construction with rounded inside diameter edge. Lap thickness is 75% of pipe wall with smooth, non-machined lap joint surface.
