A BW Equal Tee is a butt weld fitting shaped like a "T" where all three openings are the same size. This fitting creates branches or splits in piping systems while maintaining consistent diameter. Butt weld fittings provide strong, leak-proof connections through welding to the pipe.

UNS S31803 is a duplex stainless steel with a balanced microstructure of approximately 50% ferrite and 50% austenite. This combination provides excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and good weldability.
ASTM A815 covers wrought ferritic, ferritic/austenitic, and martensitic stainless steel piping fittings. Class WP fittings include:
- WP-S: Seamless products
- WP-W: Welded products
- WP-WX: Fittings with all welds radiographically tested
- WP-WU: Fittings with all welds ultrasonically tested
- Equal Tee: All three branches have the same diameter (also called Straight Tee)
- Reducing Tee: Branch diameter is smaller than main line diameter
