Duplex Stainless Steel Tube Description
Duplex stainless steel tubes are corrosion-resistant tubes made from a family of stainless steels that have a mixed microstructure consisting of austenitic and ferritic phases. These stainless steels offer a combination of excellent corrosion resistance and high strength, making them suitable for a wide range of applications, especially in harsh or corrosive environments.
Duplex stainless steel tubes offer superior corrosion resistance compared to conventional austenitic stainless steels, especially in chloride-containing environments.
Duplex Stainless Steel Tube Application
Duplex stainless steel is a very useful metal that is used the world over. It gets its name from the fact that it consists of two different grades of metal.
Essentially, Duplex is a Fe-Ni-Cr alloy that has a two-phase ferritic-austenitic stainless-steel microstructure when it is at room temperature.
