Product Information
A stainless steel cast threaded bushing is a type of fitting used in piping systems to reduce the size of a threaded connection. It is typically used to connect pipes or fittings with different thread sizes, providing a secure and leak-free joint. Stainless steel cast threaded bushings are commonly used in various industries where corrosion resistance, durability, and strength are essential, such as in chemical processing, oil and gas, and marine applications.
Threaded Connection: The cast threaded bushing has internal and external threads that allow it to be screwed into a pipe or fitting with a larger thread size, while the other end can accommodate a smaller threaded connection.
Stainless steel cast threaded bushings are available in various sizes to accommodate different pipe diameters and thread specifications.
Corrosion Resistance: Stainless steel cast threaded bushings are ideal for applications where resistance to corrosion and harsh environments is necessary, making them suitable for use in challenging industrial settings.

The SAE/ANSI 304 (AISI 304) is the most commonly available and used type of stainless steel. It is also referred to as 18/8 stainless steel, A2 stainless steel (as per the ISO 3506), or 304S15 (as per the British Standard). This is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy which practically means that it has a very high corrosion resistance. It is also nonmagnetic and can’t be hardened through heat treatment. As AISI 304 can withstand extremely corrosive environments and can be shaped, machined and welded relatively easy, it is very popular for a wide range of applications.

Benefits of Stainless Steel Casting Screw Fittings
- Stainless steel casting combines good corrosion resistance and high strength, which allows the reduction in wall thickness and weight of pipe fittings. Besides, it can withstand very high flow rates, making it capable to withstand long-term exposure to the elements in almost any environment.
- Cast stainless steel pipe fittings can be used in all types of water, including drinking water in public supply. They have an excellent resistance to the full range of potable waters, including various chloride levels. At the end of its useful life, cast stainless steel is fully recyclable and retains a higher residual scrap value than ordinary cast steel.
- Stainless steel casting of pipe fittings requires low maintenance and does not need an additional coating, in both indoor and outdoor applications. The expected lifetime of a stainless steel pipe fitting is more than 50 years, reducing system down time, replacement and maintenance costs over the life of the installation.
- Last but not the least, stainless steel casting is afforable to produce any type of pipe fittings, and it can produce pipe fittings in both high and small volumes.
