BDD electrodes utilize boron-doped diamond film as the anode material with titanium or other conductive substrates as the cathode for advanced electrochemical applications. Important Note: The two larger surfaces have non-equal properties due to postprocessing. One surface is polished only, while the second is laser cut and then polished. The laser cutting process affects boron doping levels and conductivity. Chemical etching is recommended before use for optimal performance.

BDD electrodes are particularly valuable in electroanalysis for developing sensors and biosensors. They enable detection of electroactive molecules in aqueous media that would otherwise be masked by water decomposition reactions at higher potentials. Surface functionalization with metal nanoparticles (e.g., Au) further enhances electrochemical response for organic molecule detection.
