The Difference between pure water and ultrapure water:
- Conductivity Difference: Pure water typically has a conductivity in the range of 2-10 μS/cm, while ultrapure water has an extremely low conductivity of approximately 0.05 μS/cm, which is close to the theoretical conductivity limit of water.
- Impurity content: Pure water contains a large number of organic matter, bacteria and particles, and the organic matter content can reach dozens of ppb, while ultrapure water has almost no impurities, and the organic matter content is reduced to a few ppb, which is close to theoretical pure water.
- Preparation Complexity: Preparation procedures vary. Pure water is usually prepared through methods such as reverse osmosis and distillation, while the preparation process of ultrapure water is more complex and requires a series of advanced purification technologies such as UV oxidation technology, nuclear-grade resin treatment, microfiltration and ultrafiltration.
- Resistivity of Water: The resistivity of ultrapure water is equal to or close to 18.2MΩNaN (25℃), while the resistivity of pure water is lower.
