PEI is a polyether imide profile product, ideal for electrical and electronic insulation parts (such as: a variety of semiconductor process parts), as well as a variety of structural parts.These components require high strength and stiffness at high temperatures, so Ultem®PEI 1000 is well suited.
Main features:
1. High maximum operating temperature in the air (continuous 170℃)
2. Good resistance to hydrolysis (suitable for repeated steam sterilization)
3. High strength and hardness over a wide range of temperatures
4. Inherent low flammability during combustion and very low level of smoke diffusion during combustion
5. Good dimensional stability
6. Physiological inertia (suitable for food contact)
7. Excellent resistance to high energy radiation (gamma- and X-ray)
