Typically, the production of color masterbatches involves three main stages. Firstly, identifying and weighing pigments and additives. Secondly, heat treating and mixing these pigments and additives into a carrier resin or polymer, typically by using twin-screw extrusion. Finally, the concentrated mixture is formed into granules, powders, and other color masterbatch vehicles through cooling and shaping.
