Anhydrous magnesium chloride appears as white glossy hexagonal crystals with a melting point of 714°C and boiling point of 1412°C. It has strong deliquescent properties, surpassing both magnesium chloride hexahydrate and dihydrate forms. Its physical and chemical properties are fundamentally similar to magnesium chloride hexahydrate. Primarily used in metal magnesium production and across chemical, light industrial, coal, construction, and other sectors.
