Lightweight mullite refractory bricks have the characteristics of high service temperature, low heat capacity, low thermal conductivity, high strength and good thermal shock resistance. Lightweight mullite brick with AL2O3 content of 67.1 % synthesized by kyanite and industrial alumina powder is mainly used in various kilns of domestic ceramics, building ceramics and special industrial ceramics, various high-temperature kilns in petrochemical industry, various high-grade heating furnaces and large-scale hot blast furnaces in metallurgical industry for direct refractory lining. In these kilns, when the working temperature exceeds the temperature that other lightweight materials can withstand ( such as refractory fibers ), and the parts that must use lightweight materials can give full play to the various properties of this lightweight refractory brick.
