Glassine Paper Introduction
Glassine paper is made of 100% wood pulp.It is environmentally-friendly, 100% recyclable, 100%
biodegradable – and it starts from 100% sustainably managed forests.Glassine is manufactured
through a special process called supercalendering,giving it higher density, low porosity and a
glossy finish.It is a transparent, resilient glazed paper, which is water, air, and grease resistant,
and is usually available in thickness between 21-80GSM.
Given it is air and grease resistant,it is widely used to protect delicate artwork,photos,frames
during moving and storage. It is also used in food wrapping and cupcake.
