• The standard runway is 400 meters long and consists of two parallel straights and two curves of equal radius. Except for grass runways, the inside of the runways should be made of a suitable material with a convex border division of about 5cms wide and at least 5cms wide.
• The length of the runway should be measured 30cms outside the convex edge inside the runway. If there is no convex edge, the length should be measured 20cms outside the outside edge of the mark line.
• For all track events of 400m and below, each athlete shall have a divider with a minimum width of 1.22m and a maximum width of 1.25m. The divider width is 5cm and all dividers shall be the same.
