Rubber Molding 3 Methods:

1. Compression molding

• Commonly used molding methods are used to manufacture certain rubber products with complex shapes such as leather cups and sealing rings. With the aid of the formed female and male molds, the rubber material is placed in the mold and heated to form.

2. Injection molding

• Used for more complex rubber products, such as tire treads, hoses, and metal wire surface coating needs to be manufactured by injection molding.
• It is a method of putting a certain plasticity compound into the hopper of the extruder under the extrusion of the screw through a variety of mouths, also called templates, for continuous molding.
• Before extrusion, the rubber compound must be preheated to make the rubber compound soft and easy to extrude to obtain a smooth surface and accurate size rubber products.

3. Calendering

• It is suitable for manufacturing simple sheet and plate products. It is a method of pressing the compounded rubber into a film with a certain thickness and a width by a calender, called calendering.
• Some textile products used in rubber products such as tires, tapes, hoses, etc. must be coated with a thin layer of glue. The glue is also called glue or rubbing on the fibers. The glue application process is usually completed on the calender.
• The fiber material needs to be dried and dipped before calendering. The purpose is to reduce the moisture content of the fiber material, so as not to evaporate and blister the water, and increase the temperature of the fiber material to ensure the quality of the calendering process.
