Product Description:

The hammer crusher is a widely used raw material crushing device on brick and tile production lines. Based on the principle of "high‑speed impact + multi‑stage crushing," it can crush medium‑hard raw materials such as coal gangue, shale, and coal slag to the fineness required for brick making in a single pass. Unlike the traditional roller crusher that relies on "slow extrusion," the hammer crusher fully utilizes the impact kinetic energy of a high‑speed rotating hammer head. It offers outstanding advantages including a large crushing ratio, high output, and simple structure. It is especially suitable for brick‑making processes that need to crush relatively large feed materials down to fine particles below 3 mm in one operation.

As the raw material structure of the brick and tile industry shifts from traditional clay to coal gangue, shale, and industrial waste, and as environmental policies continue to restrict solid clay bricks, the hammer crusher has become one of the key pieces of equipment in brick plants, thanks to its excellent adaptability to wet and brittle materials.

Working Principle:

The main working part of a hammer crusher is a rotor fitted with hammers (also called hammer heads). The motor drives the rotor to rotate at high speed inside the crushing chamber. Material enters from the top feed opening and is crushed by the high‑speed moving hammers through impact, shearing, and grinding. A screen plate (or a screenless design) is installed below the rotor. Particles smaller than the screen openings pass through and are discharged, while oversize particles remain on the screen and are repeatedly struck and ground by the hammers until they reach the required size.

For the two‑stage hammer crusher specifically designed for brick plants, two rotors are arranged in series (one above the other). Material first enters the upper crushing chamber, is impacted and crushed by the upper rotor hammers, and then immediately enters the lower crushing chamber for secondary fine crushing. The material particles also collide with each other at high speed inside the chamber, achieving a synergistic effect of "hammer‑on‑material and material‑on‑material" crushing. The final discharge size can be controlled to below 3 mm, fully meeting the particle size requirements for internal combustion brick making in brick plants.

Performance Advantages:

1. Large crushing ratio

2. Uniform and controllable discharge particle size

3. Low energy consumption, economical operation

4. Advanced wear‑resistant hammers, longer service life

5. Easy maintenance, short downtime

6. Multi‑purpose, wide raw material adaptability

Summary:

With its high‑speed impact crushing principle, large reduction ratio, single‑pass forming capability, and excellent adaptability to wet materials, the hammer crusher has become a key piece of equipment for efficient, low‑cost, and environmentally friendly raw material processing in modern brick and tile plants. Driven by policies restricting solid clay bricks and the trend of industrial solid waste utilization, hammer crushers have evolved from single‑rotor PC crushers to two‑stage screenless crushers, heavy hammer crushers, and ring hammer crushers. They now form a complete product matrix covering everything from coarse crushing to fine crushing, from dry materials to wet materials, for all types of brick plant raw material requirements.
